LADWP Power Outage Update (6:00 a.m.)
LOS ANGELES — As of 6:00 a.m., approximately 6,871 customers are without power due to the recent rain storm and yesterday’s high winds. The communities most affected are Exposition Park and Larchmont with 1,405 and 1,424 customers out, respectively. More than 95,298 customers have had their power restored since Sunday’s rain storm began.
The rain and wind storm caused severely dried out palm fronds, tree branches and other debris to fall on power lines, causing power outages. LADWP crews will continue working through the night to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
LADWP calls on all customers to be careful around downed or dangling power wires or poles. Always assume a downed line is still energized. Never touch one. Report any downed power lines immediately by calling the LADWP at 1-800-DIAL-DWP. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911.
