LADWP to Hold “Customer Service Saturday” on

LOS ANGELES—The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) will hold “Customer Service Saturday” at four of its Customer Service Centers on October 11, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in honor of Public Power Week.
Customers who attend Customer Service Saturday can expect assistance from staff who are able to take payments, process service order requests, answer billing questions and resolve billing issues. There will be LADWP Energy Efficiency information booths, free tree give-aways at the Watts and West L.A. locations and, at the Van Nuys location, LADWP’s brand new mobile solar trailer. There will also be information on helpful LADWP programs and services available to customers, as well as sign-up materials. Public Power Week is a nationwide program celebrating the importance of public power. At its heart, public power is an expression of the American ideal of local people working together to meet local needs. City employees join with citizens serving in governance roles to provide electricity to every home and business in a safe and responsive manner on a not-for-profit basis.
