LOS ANGELES (November 30, 2024) – Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) crews are currently on the scene of a fire that occurred overnight at LADWP’s Receiving Station P serving downtown Los Angeles. The fire was reported at 12:23 a.m. Saturday at 560 S. San Julian Street.
Crews are currently working to assess the damage to affected transformers and restore power to affected customers as quickly as possible. An estimated 100 commercial and industrial customers in the downtown area are affected as of 6:30 AM. Equipment at the receiving station carries high voltage electricity and distributes it at lower voltages to customers in the surrounding area.
