LADWP Power Outage Update (6:00 p.m.)

LOS ANGELES — As of 6:00 p.m., the total amount of customers affected by the storm has gone down to approximately 29,876. The communities most affected are Historic South-Central, Exposition Park, East Hollywood, Harvard Heights, Hollywood Hills, South Park, Arlington Heights, Larchmont and Wilmington caused by eight circuit outages, 22 partial circuit outages. Currently, there are 50 neighborhoods out and 667 single customers without power. There have been approximately 71,562 customers who have had their power restored since the storm started yesterday.

The rain and wind storm caused severely dried out palm fronds, tree branches and other debris to fall on power lines, causing power outages. LADWP crews are restoring power as quickly and safely as possible.

The following communities have the most number of customers currently impacted:

HISTORIC SOUTH-CENTRAL 3,733
EXPOSITION PARK 2,435
EAST HOLLYWOOD 1,489
HOLLYWOOD HILLS 1,776
HARVARD HEIGHTS 1,818
SOUTH PARK 2,614
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS 1,403
LARCHMONT 1,424
WILMINGTON 2,879
BALDWIN HILLS/CRENSHAW 2,356

LADWP calls on all customers to be careful around downed or dangling power wires or poles. Always assume a downed line is still energized. Never touch one. Report any downed power lines immediately by calling the LADWP at 1-800-DIAL-DWP. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911.
