New Meeting Added in Long-Range Power Plan Community Workshop Series:
|LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) announces an additional date in the series of regional community workshops for the public to provide input on the city’s long-range power plan:
Northeast Los Angeles – * Please Note Address Correction *
The Department has conducted six workshops across Los Angeles since mid-August, with a seventh to take place tonight in Woodland Hills. The workshops focus on the 2010 Draft Power Integrated Resource Plan (Draft IRP) which provides information on LADWP’s long-term strategic investments such as local power plants, transmission systems, energy efficiency and various approaches to transitioning to renewable energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
During the workshops, participants will have the opportunity to break into small groups to learn more about the Draft IRP, provide comments and indicate their priorities for LADWP’s long-term energy plan.
