Media Advisory: 2019 Annual Chatsworth Nature Preserve Earth Day Open House

Annual family-friendly event held at the City of Los Angeles’ only nature preserve, hosted by LADWP, the Santa Susana Mountain Park Association and Sky Valley Volunteers featuring:

  • Guided Nature Hikes
  • Live Animal Exhibits
  • Native American Blessing
  • Environmental and Community Resource Fair
  • Face Painting
  • Native American Storytelling

Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Chatsworth Nature Preserve entrance at Valley Circle Boulevard (from Plummer Street), Chatsworth, CA 91311

VISUALS:
Community members participating in guided nature hikes and enjoying the local wildlife and 100+ year old oak trees amidst the beauty of the Chatsworth Nature Preserve and Ecology Pond. The pond is a regional draw for migratory and native bird species. There will also be a Native American Tribal Blessing at the event start, as well as live animal exhibits, storytelling, and face painting.
