LADWP Power Outages Down to 1,600 Impacted Customers (11:30 a.m. Update)LADWP crews working around the clock restored power to 100,600 |
LOS ANGELES — As of 11:30 a.m., the number of LADWP customers that are currently without power is down to approximately 1,600 out of 1.4 million in the LADWP service area. LADWP crews have worked around the clock and restored power to approximately 100,600 since Sunday’s rain storm began. Due to the recent rain storm and yesterday’s high winds, severely dried out palm fronds, tree branches and other debris fell on power lines, causing outages. Crews remain in the field working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
All customers should be careful around downed or dangling power wires or poles. Always assume a downed line is still energized. Never touch one. Report any downed power lines immediately by calling the LADWP at 1-800-DIAL-DWP. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911.
