LADWP Heat Update

LOS ANGELES — In the wake of the hottest day in recorded history for the City of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) reports approximately 15,000 of its 1.4 million electric customers are without power as of 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
The following communities are most impacted: * Westchester: 2,411 LADWP crews are working around the clock to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. As the Southland braces for another hot day, LADWP reminds customers to implement active conservation as long as it does not jeopardize one’s own health or safety. The public and members of the media are encouraged to check the Department’s news site and Twitter page, @LADWP, for updates. The next outage update will be posted at approximately 11:00 a.m. ### |
