WHAT:

Annual family-friendly event held at the City of Los Angeles’ only nature preserve hosted by LADWP and the Santa Susana Mountain Park Association featuring:

  • Guided Nature Hikes
  • Live Animal Exhibits
  • A Wishtoyo/Chumash Indian Tribal Blessing
  • Environmental and Community Resource Fair

LADWP Director of Water Operations Anselmo Collins and Santa Susana Mountain Park Association Vice President Tom Nachtrab

WHEN:

Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

WHERE:

Chatsworth Nature Preserve entrance at Valley Circle Boulevard (from Plummer Street), Chatsworth, CA 91311. Online map at bit.ly/2naHjvT.

VISUALS:

Community members participating in guided nature hikes and enjoying the local wildlife and 100+ year old oak trees amidst the beauty of the Chatsworth Nature Preserve and Ecology Pond. The pond is a regional draw for migratory and native bird species. There will also be a Chumash/Tataviam Indian Tribal Blessing at the event start, as well as live animal exhibits throughout the day.
