Power Outage Update

As of 12:00 p.m.

LOS ANGELES — As of noon today, approximately 5,100 of 1.4 million Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) electric customers are without power. Last night, strong winds and heavy gusts caused outages throughout Southern California, including several Los Angeles neighborhoods.  LADWP crews very quickly restored power to more than 36,400 customers. At this hour, the following neighborhoods are affected:

METRO AREA
* Hollywood: 1,643
* Crenshaw: 313
* Sawtelle: 653

LADWP crews continue to work to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. Further updates will be posted online at www.ladwpnews.com.  The next outage update will be posted at approximately 5:00 pm.
