(April 30, 2024) – North Hollywood High School proudly represented Los Angeles and showcased their exceptional scientific knowledge and teamwork skills at the National Science Bowl Competition held in Washington, D.C. over the weekend. The team secured an impressive second-place finish, solidifying their position among the top science scholars in the nation. The National Science Bowl, organized by the U.S. Department of Energy, attracted 67 high school teams from across the country to compete in this prestigious event. North Hollywood High School’s remarkable performance in the rigorous competition is a testament to their dedication, hard work, and expertise in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) subjects. Despite stiff competition, Lexington High School from Massachusetts emerged as the overall champion, while University High School from Irvine, California secured a commendable third-place finish.
