Multi-Lingual Application Assistance Available for LA/LADWP CARES Grant Program

November 18, 2020

LOS ANGELES (November 18, 2020)– Help is available in multiple languages for applicants of the LA/LADWP Utility CARES Grant Program. Community-based organizations working with LADWP are able to provide application help in English as well as Armenian, Chinese Mandarin, Haitian Kreyol, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese.

Low-income Los Angeles City residents who have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic are encouraged to apply for a one-time $500 grant to help pay their utility bills, under a program championed by LA City Council President Nury Martinez. The program was recently extended by a week to November 22nd from its initial deadline to allow for more time for qualifying applicants to apply.

Information on how to apply is available in multiple languages on www.ladwp.com/UtilityCARES. Those who need further assistance can call the community-based organizations below for help in their native language. All organizations listed can also assist applicants in English.
