Pacific Palisades Fires: Correcting Misinformation about LADWP’s Water System

LADWP UPDATE: THE STATION FIRE Threat to Transmission Lines Diminished; Continued Conservation Encouraged

LADWP UPDATE: THE STATION FIRE

Threat to Transmission Lines Diminished; Continued Conservation Encouraged

LOS ANGELES- Decreased wind, slight humidity and the creation of a fire break between the active area of the Station fire and the power transmission corridor have diminished the threat to two of LADWP’s 500 KV lines northeast of the Acton area today.

Although the danger of impacts to transmission lines is reduced, the Department asks customers to remain in energy conservation mode where possible as we continue monitoring the fire.

As always, if there is reason to believe the LADWP system may be impacted by the fire, we will update the media and public immediately.
