Haynes Generating Station

“This is a tragic loss and tragedy for our employee’s family and our entire LADWP family,” said Aram Benyamin, Senior Assistant General Manager, Power. “Our hearts go out to the family, friends and co-workers of our employee.”

The employee”s name is being withheld pending notification of family and the cause of death is under investigation.

Haynes Generating Station is an LADWP power plant located in Long Beach.  It is a steam generating plant that is currently being partially rebuilt to eliminate the use of ocean water to cool the plant and was in operation at the time of discovery.  The deceased employee was found in an area of the plant located away from construction activity.
