Pacific Palisades Fires: Correcting Misinformation about LADWP’s Water System

Hollywood and Silver Lake Reservoirs Closed in Support of “Safer at Home” Order

April 1, 2020

UPDATE: As of May 13, 2020, both reservoirs reopened to the public per the Mayor’s adjustments to the “Safer at Home” order allowing certain public hiking trails and recreational areas be open. Social distancing and masks still required.

LOS ANGELES (March 31, 2020)– LADWP’s Hollywood Reservoir, Silver Lake Dam and Ivanhoe Walking Paths are closed to the public indefinitely in support of the Safer At Home Order. LADWP asks that people obey posted signs as trespassing is prohibited by law. We encourage individuals to continue practicing social distancing and stay home to help slow the spread of COVID-19. We’re in this together.
