Efficient Product Marketplace Relaunches to Help Save Energy LA

LADWP offers one-stop-shop website to buy and apply for rebates for energy saving items

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) today re-launched the Efficient Product Marketplace (EPM), a website that points customers to vendors and retailers that sell energy efficient products and that also allows customers to submit their receipts directly online for LADWP rebates to easily maximize their pocketbook savings as well as their in-home energy savings.

The re-launched EPM now offers more goods and more savings than ever before to customers visiting the one-stop-shop. In addition to existing EPM rebates for Energy Star® LED lamps and Energy Star® and Energy Star® Most Efficient refrigerators and televisions, effective immediately the EPM allows LADWP customers to also qualify for a the latest addition to the marketplace – a $50 rebate on Energy Star® room air conditioners.

“EPM is one of the many programs available to LADWP customers to help Angelenos save energy and achieve the city’s energy efficiency goals,” LADWP General Manager David Wright said. “As the program grows to include more items, we hope our energy savings and our customer’s utility bill savings grow right along with it.”

LADWP is working to expand the list of EPM products even further to include web-enabled programmable thermostats, smart thermostats and advanced power strips at a future date
