Chiller Outage Impacts Customer Service Operations at LADWP

Customers Encouraged to Contact DWP Tuesday for Bill Payment and Account Related Inquiries

CLARIFICATION:  The below message was updated at 6:55 pm to clarify the previous message.  We encourage customers to contact us Tuesday online or by phone. Online contact through LADWP.com is not possible at this time.

LOS ANGELES — A chiller outage that began this afternoon at the LADWP is currently impacting the Department’s Customer Service Operations.  As of 5:45pm the LADWP’s customer call center has limited capability to help customers with account related issues, the Personal Call Back feature is unavailable and the website www.ladwp.com is down, due to a shut down of information technology systems that rely on chiller cooling systems to run.

Customers can still report water and electric outages by calling 800-DIAL-DWP (800-342-5397).

Crews are working to fix the chiller problem and estimate that it will be resolved later tonight.

Customers are encouraged to contact LADWP on Tuesday online or by phone for bill payment or any other account related matter as the affected equipment is fixed and brought back online.

LADWP will provide updates on the situation through its online newsroom at www.ladwpnews.com and on Twitter: @LADWP.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our customers and appreciate their patience as we work to fix this problem.
