LADWP Observes National Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Downtown Headquarters

LOS ANGELES — In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has illuminated the fountains that flank its downtown Los Angeles headquarters building in pink during the month of October. Borrowing from the pink ribbon, the cause’s traditional symbol, the lighting has burned in the evenings to raise public awareness of the disease, its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.

LADWP stands in solidarity with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the campaign’s affiliated charities. For more information on the campaign, including patient services and how to help, please visit its official United States website.
