LOS ANGELES — Approximately 27,000 of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s (LADWP’s) 1.4 million electric customers are without power as of 11:00 pm tonight. Strong winds throughout the Southland caused outages in several neighborhoods. The following communities are currently most impacted:
METRO AREA * Cheviot Hills: 1,484 * Montecito Heights: 496 * Korea Town: 1,479 * South Los Angeles: 913 * Hollywood: 1,873 * Crenshaw: 2,648 * San Pedro: 751 * Hyde Park: 3,441 * Pacific Palisades: 1,228 * Mar Vista: 3,397
VALLEY * Northridge: 3,057 * Reseda: 516 * Van Nuys: 705 * Panorama City: 729
LADWP crews will work around the clock to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. Updates will continue to be posted online at www.ladwpnews.com. The next outage update will be posted at approximately 5:00 am.
