Approximately 13,195 of LADWP's 1.4 million electric customers were without power as of 6:30 a.m. today, while power has been restored to more than 26,000 customers, as the season’s first storm brought rain and gusty winds, causing outages in several neighborhoods. At this hour, the following communities have the most number of customers impacted:
- South Los Angeles: 1,200
- Venice/Mar Vista: 4,133
- Highland Park: 2,230
- Silver Lake: 2,000
- Wilmington: 1,270
- Park La Brea: 490
In response to current weather conditions, LADWP heightened its response to Level 2 at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday to increase the number of electric distribution maintenance crews and resources. Crews continue to work around-the-clock to restore power to all customers as quickly and safely as possible.
