POWER OUTAGE UPDATE

As of 8:00 p.m.

Power has been restored to approximately 20,000 customers, while approximately 12,000 of LADWP's 1.4 million electric customers were without power as of 8:00 p.m. today as the season’s first storm brought rain and gusty winds, causing outages in several neighborhoods.

The following communities had the most number of customers impacted:

South Los Angeles: 7,000
Mar Vista: 2,500
Hyde Park: 1,600
Mid-City: 900
Studio City: 700

Currently, 35 crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power.

In response to current weather conditions, LADWP has increased its response level to 2 at 11:20 a.m. to increase the number of power restoration crews and resources to restore power to all customers as quickly and safely as possible.
