| DETAILS: | Mr. Nahai will give a presentation on "Water for Los Angeles," Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's long-term water supply plan. The presentation will provide insight about the City of Los Angeles water supply picture, including short-term and long-term plans for reducing dependence on imported water and ensuring a sustainable, reliable water supply for the city's future. Following the presentation, Mr. Nahai will participate in a panel discussion on "Water Management Policy of World Major Cities." |
| BACKGROUND: | Organized by Seoul Metropolitan Government, the international conference brings together the domestically and internationally recognized experts in the water industry to commemorate the 100th anniversary of water distribution in Seoul. The symposium is designed to share information and exchange ideas on sustainable development in water management policy, water industry and waterworks technologies. |
