POWER OUTAGE UPDATE
As of 10:48 p.m.

LADWP crews have restored power to more than 11,300 customers since temperatures and customer demand for power soared earlier today. Approximately 10,000 customers in the San Fernando Valley still remain without power.  LADWP crews will work through the night to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

The following communities are experiencing the most number of power outages:

Reseda/Northridge: 3,300

Sylmar: 1,000

Toluca Lake: 1,600

Crews are also working to restore neighborhood outages in Canoga Park, Encino, Granada Hills, Sunland, Sherman Oaks, and North Hills.

Today, the energy load peaked at 6053 megawatts at 3:13 p.m.  The all-time record peak load is 6165 megawatts, which occured July 24, 2006.
