Designed by noted architect S. Charles Lee, of the Max Factor Make-Up Studio fame and other Los Angeles signature buildings, this building is unique for its bold façade and two-foot high glass letters that read: "Municipal Light Water Power."

Raman Raj, Chief Operating Officer, LADWP

John Chen, Assistant General Manager of Customer Services, LADWP

WHEN:             Monday, May 19, 10 a.m.

WHERE:           2716 Daly Street, Los Angeles (Lincoln Heights), 90031

VISUALS:         The outside of the building is visually very distinctive with its copper and green architectural features and glass signage, evocative of an earlier era of grand municipal buildings.

BACKGROUND: In its storied history, the building in its early years has functioned as a neighborhood LADWP walk-in facility, been shuttered completely, returned to the area as a community center and then closed again for a lengthy and thorough restoration.
