WHO:
More than 250 of the brightest science scholars from throughout the city of Los Angeles are participating.
Students participating in more than 50 teams from 30 public, LAUSD and charter, private and parochial schools.

WHY:
Scrimmage helps prepare students for vigors of regional
competition Feb. 23, one of 67 around the nation under the U.S. Department of Energy National Science Bowl program.
Science Bowl encourages students of all backgrounds to study and pursue careers in math, science and technology.
Program demonstrates that these subjects are important as well as
exciting and fun.
Showcases talents, hard work and knowledge of students
HOW:
Game show format competition. Teams of four or five students answer challenging toss up and bonus questions from moderator requiring encyclopedia knowledge, quick reflexes and teamwork.
