WINTER STORM OUTAGE UPDATE FOR SAT. JAN. 5, 2008-9:30 A.M.

The Los Angeles Department of Water continues to restore power to customers that have been impacted with power disruptions, due to the rains and wind of the winter storms pounding the region.

Approximately 14,800 customers being affected by power outages out of the utility's 1.4 million electric customers.

There are circuit outages affecting the following areas:

Mid City           1,046
Toluca Lake     1,110
Studio City         693
Beverly Glen       996
No.Hollywood   1,340

There are also partial outages in:

Mid City          1, 535
South LA         2,005
Crenshaw        1,602
Koreatown          562
Sherman Oaks   104
Encino               101
No. Hollywood    566

There are also some scattered individual neighborhoods that are experiencing disruption.

The outages are due predominately to wires down due to inclement weather.

The LADWP has 55 crews in the field working around the clock to restore power, as quickly and safely as possible. If you are experiencing power disruption, please call 1-800-DIALDWP and we will dispatch crews right away to restore the power.
