WINTER STORM OUTAGE UPDATE FOR SATURDAY, JAN. 5, 2008 6:00 A. M.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) crews worked throughout the night to restore scattered power outages caused by the winter storms pounding the region.

Currently, approximately 14,000 customers are being affected by power outages out of the utility's 1.4 million electric customers.

There are circuit outages affecting the following areas:

Brentwood                          555
Beverly Glenn                   1,000 
Winnetka                            866
Hyde Park                        3,235
North Hollywood                1,800
Encino                                739
Mid City                            1,048
Studio City                           649 
Toluca Lake                       1,104

In addition, there are partial circuit disruptions in Mid City, Pacific Palisades, North Hollywood Koreatown, Tarzana, Encino, Knollwood, Park LaBrea and Encino. There are also about 1,000 customers affected in scattered individual neighborhods.
 
These outages are due predominately to wires down due to inclement weather.

The LADWP continues to have crews in the field working around the clock to restore power, as quickly and safely as possible. 

Any outages or downed wires should be reported to 1-800-DIALDWP.
