OUTAGE UPDATE AS OF 11 AM
Highlights:
- Total # of customers affected by outages as of 11 AM today: Approx 29,927
- Last night customers returning home from vacations and outings coupled with high nighttime temps resulted in increased demand and strain on an already overheated system
- 4,873 customers are affected by 182 small outages scattered across Valley and Metro
- We have 76 crews in the field, including private crews who were called in to assist in restoration efforts.
- Since 7:30 a.m., we have experienced one additional circuit outage in Sylmar, affecting 1,539 customers
- Crews working their 6th straight day on 16-hour shifts.
- Currently 138 Customer Call Center Reps are taking calls; up to 50 reps reported and worked on Monday.

Circuit Outages
There are 4 circuit outages at this time affecting customers in:
Hollywood - 1687 customers
Sherman Oaks - 379 customers
Woodland Hills - 425 customers
Sylmar - 1,569
Circuit outages were restored last night in part of Hollywood, West Hills and Beverly Glen
Partial Circuit Outages:
Widespread outages in neighborhoods in Metro and Valley:
Metro - 460 partial outages: 18,153 customers
Valley - 66 partial outages: 1,953 customers
TOTAL: 535 partial outages: 20,106 customers
Metro Neighborhood Outages (small localized): 113 localized outages affecting 4,161 customers
Valley Neighborhood outages: 72 localized outages affecting 1,232 customers
Neighborhood outages total 185 affecting approx 5,393 customers
POWER DEMAND
Today's energy peak is expected to be 6025 MW
Current demand as of 11 a.m.: 5124 MW
Yesterday's peak was reached at 2:07 PM at 5737 MW.
We have experienced 5 straight days of record setting demand
Customers are urged to continue to conserve power
