The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s Media Relations program is committed to providing the news media with reliable and clear information in a timely manner. Public relations specialists are available to respond to media inquiries, arrange for interviews and media tours, disseminate information about the LADWP through news releases, media advisories and fact sheets, arrange for news conferences, and keep the news media informed during emergencies.
Public Relations Specialists are available to respond to media inquiries between the hours of 5:30 a.m – 11:30 p.m. daily to provide information on problems such as power outages and water main breaks. An on-call Public Relations Specialist will be available daily at 5:30 a.m. to return any media calls received between 11:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
All other media inquiries, including policy issues and interviews with our experts, are handled during business hours, Monday through Friday.
