2011 Power System Integrated Resource Plan

LADWP has published the 2011 Power System Integrated Resource Plan (IRP), which is available to the public by clicking here.

The IRP is a 20-year energy resource planning document that provides a framework to ensure that the future energy needs of the City are reliably met in a cost-effective manner, and also reflects LADWP’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

The 2011 IRP document updates and expands on the results of the 2010 IRP process, incorporating the latest regulatory developments, load forecasts, fuel pricing and other factors. The 2011 IRP features an updated analysis of coal divestiture alternatives.

Currently, LADWP is beginning preparation of the 2012 IRP and will be seeking public input. LADWP will soon be issuing the announcement of workshop dates and locations.
